As we plan for retirement, Karla and I continue our ongoing discussion and strategy session about what retirement should look like, feel like and ultimately, when it should begin. Some say that retirement begins the final chapters of life; however, we believe it is the creation and opportunity to write an entirely new book, and ours will start on the sea. The literal sea as well as the sea of adventure.
We purchased Stay The Course, a 2006 Carver 43 MY in 2023, and she is currently on the rivers making her way down from Lake Michigan to her new home in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She is our second Carver yacht, and we are excited to bring her back to her former glory.
We have a To Do List. In fact, I call it the Mighty To Do List (imagine thunder and trumpets blaring as you say the words loudly)! It is about a mile long. Need I say more?
The Carver 43 MY is the same vessel as the 47 MY, and they both have the extended, hydraulic swim platform. Oh, the hydraulic swim platform that holds the tender is a thing of beauty.
